Heather MacVean
costume designer and stylist
Heather MacVean has over 20 years' experience designing for TV, Film and Theatre.
Heather originally trained in Theatre Design at Nottingham Trent University and went on to develop skills in costume-prop fabrication at Jim Henson's Creature Shop, Neal Scanlan Studios and Dominic Murray Studios. Early experience on Gladiator, Mighty Boosh, Father Ted, Lion King, Priscilla Queen of the Desert and for Dame Edna Everage has helped her develop an unusually wide spectrum of practical knowledge and skills. She subsequently worked as costume supervisor on TV dramas such as Silent Witness, Commander and My Uncle Silas.
Currently, Heather designs extensively for TV, film and theatre. She works principally in comedy - her first love. She's known as a supportive collaborator and has the ability to deliver distinctive and ambitious schemes.
